Steps member Claire Richards rings in the New Year with an exciting announcement: the arrival of a new puppy. The 47-year-old singer, who is married to her second husband Reece Hill, revealed this delightful news, sharing the joy of expanding their family. In addition to their two children, the couple has welcomed a cute new member into their home.

On January 1, 2025, Claire took to social media to introduce her followers to their new furry friend, named George. She shared adorable snapshots of the pup while expressing her enthusiasm in her post. “Meet George! The new addition to our family! We’ve been wanting another whippet for a long time, and finally, we’ve got our final piece,” she wrote. Claire added, “He’s already a happy little thing in our home, and we couldn’t be more in love with him! Miss Mabel is taking her time to warm up to him, but she’s getting there! Our New Year will consist of wiping up all the fluids.”

Closing her heartfelt message, Claire wished everyone a prosperous year ahead, stating, “New friends and old, here’s to 2025 being the best yet! Love you. Bye.”

As a star of The Masked Singer, where she performed as Knitting in 2023, Claire is also a devoted mother to her children, Charlie, 17, and Daisy, 14. She has recently shared insights about how motherhood has influenced her life. In a conversation, she mentioned, “Becoming a mum changes you. It also alters your priorities. I’m either Claire from Steps or Mrs. Hill. I find it easier to transition from Claire back to Mrs. Hill.”

Reflecting on her career, Claire noted that her children have grown accustomed to her life in the spotlight. “I’ve always brought them to work with me, even when they were young,” she explained. “When Steps reunited in 2012 for a tour, Charlie was just five years old, and Daisy was about three. So it’s all kind of normal for them.”
