Actor from ‘NCIS’, ‘Fast and Furious’, and ‘Street Fighter’ Dies at 61 After Health Battle, Son Promises to Honor His Legacy

Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, a cherished figure in Hollywood known for his roles in NCIS, Fast and Furious, and Street Fighter, has sadly passed away at the age of 61 following a battle with heart complications. The news of his death was shared by his grieving son, Manoah, who expressed his sadness and commitment to keeping his father’s memory alive during this difficult time.

 

Tuiasosopo, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, had an impressive 30-year career in entertainment, leaving a lasting impression through performances in notable films including Street Fighter, The Fast and the Furious, BASEketball, and 12 Rounds. Manoah shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, stating that his father, who died early Monday morning, led an incredible life and his influence will continue beyond his passing. Manoah noted that his dad is now at peace in Heaven with family members who have departed before him.

 

In addition to his film work, Tuiasosopo made appearances in various television shows. He was featured in an episode of NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service in 2013 as the character Charles ‘Chucky Bang’ Kang. Tuiasosopo’s career also included roles in the comedy Austin Powers in Goldmember and the action film The Scorpion King.

 

Before his acting career took off, Tuiasosopo was a talented athlete, playing football with the St. Louis Cardinals and briefly with the Los Angeles Rams. His last television appearance was in the reboot of Magnum P.I. in 2021.
