Bob Barker’s Final Resting Place Receives Headstone Over a Year After Passing

 

In an exclusive update, it has been revealed that the grave of game show legend Bob Barker has finally received a headstone, 13 months following his death at the age of 99. The modest memorial is inscribed with the name “Robert W. Barker, 1923-2023” and features a single red rose placed upon it in tribute. Bob Barker was laid to rest at the prestigious Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, a popular burial site for many celebrities, alongside his late wife, Dorothy Jo, who succumbed to lung cancer in 1981 at the age of 57. His grave is situated not far from the final resting place of Friends star Matthew Perry.

 

According to his death certificate, Bob’s passing was attributed to Alzheimer’s disease. Barker, who hosted The Price Is Right for an impressive span from 1972 until 2007, requested that there be no funeral or memorial service. His publicist, Roger Neal, explained that Barker desired this to be a private matter, emphasizing his family’s commitment to honoring his wishes.

 

The beloved entertainer left a significant portion of his estimated $70 million estate to various animal rights organizations, reflecting his lifelong dedication to animal welfare. An insider disclosed that Barker’s passion for animals was well-known and that his charitable decisions aligned with his values.

 

With his grave now marked, Bob Barker’s legacy continues to resonate with fans and family alike, reminding everyone of the joy he brought into the lives of many during his extraordinary career.
