BBC fears Oti Mabuse will reveal Strictly scandal secrets on I’m A Celebrity

Oti Mabuse Sparks Worry Among BBC Executives Ahead of I’m A Celebrity Debut

As the entertainment world gears up for the new season of I’m A Celebrity, there’s a palpable buzz surrounding the inclusion of former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse. The BBC is reportedly feeling anxious about what Oti might reveal during her time in the jungle, especially given the controversies that have surrounded Strictly in recent months.

The talented 34-year-old dancer is among ten celebrities confirmed for the much-anticipated 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity. Joining her are other notable figures such as Coleen Rooney, Tulisa Contostavlos, and Danny Jones. With the show’s premiere set for Sunday, November 17, all eyes are on Oti.

BBC insiders are expressing concern that Mabuse—despite departing from Strictly—may still have plenty of insider stories to share. This anxiety comes on the heels of significant drama within the dance competition, including allegations from Amanda Abbington regarding Giovanni Pernice’s behavior and the shocking exit of Graziano Di Prima after a controversial rehearsal incident involving Zara McDermott.

“Oti was a major presence on Strictly, and her sister Motsi remains an integral part of the show,” an anonymous source revealed. “Given the recent controversies, it’s expected that campmates will be eager to hear her thoughts. Fans are hoping she keeps things under wraps to avoid stirring the pot even further.”

Since leaving Strictly, Oti has transitioned to a judging role on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, but she remains a focal point of discussions related to Strictly’s turbulent year.

Upon her arrival in Australia, Oti was asked about her biggest fears for her time on I’m A Celebrity. While she joked about her South African upbringing, saying hanging out with spiders is part of her culture, she admitted that she isn’t keen on the idea of directly encountering snakes and spiders. “If I say what I’m scared of, I feel like people will put me in a coffin with some snakes and spiders!” she quipped.

The excitement surrounding Oti’s debut in the jungle is palpable. With the show set to air on ITV1 and ITVX, viewers are eager to tune in. What do you think she will reveal? Let us know your thoughts.
