Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos Preparing for TV Wedding?

Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos: Is a TV Wedding on the Horizon?

Just days ago, Joan Vassos concluded her time on The Golden Bachelorette by accepting Chock Chapple’s heartfelt proposal. Yes, that’s his actual name. The couple got engaged during the show’s finale in Bora Bora, and Vassos expressed her surprise at finding love once more. “I never thought I’d feel something like this again,” she shared.

So how are things shaping up for Joan and Chock? So far, it seems they’re thriving as a couple, showing a commitment to a shared future that many other contestants from reality dating shows can’t boast about. They have plans to tie the knot, but don’t expect anything imminent.

Joan recently told Us Weekly, “You’re absolutely not going to see a TV wedding in three months.” This comes after the recent televised wedding of Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, which ended in divorce shortly after. “I appreciated that outcome for Gerry and Theresa,” she noted. “Our decision to delay has nothing to do with their experience. I simply don’t want to add another event to my plate right now. When we do eventually get married—which could be an on-screen affair, or not—it won’t happen in the next few months. I want time for us to really bond and to introduce each other to our families and friends.”

Looking ahead, the couple plans to move to New York City together, and there’s no sign of them slowing down. “Enjoying life during your golden years is a unique experience. You don’t have to manage a business or raise a family anymore. You can truly savor life,” Vassos remarked. “Travel is a priority for us, and we aspire to buy a home together one day. After losing John, my future seemed bleak. Now, it feels incredibly bright, full of potential. It’s strange to say, but at this stage in life, I feel optimistic about what lies ahead.”

Will Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos find lasting happiness together? Only time will tell.
