Halle Berry is taking legal action to prevent her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, from allegedly spying on her amid their contentious custody dispute.
Sources inform Sydtomarket.net that Berry is concerned a former employee might have conspired with Martinez to secretly capture compromising photos of her as part of an extortion scheme.
The Oscar-winning actress and French actor, both 58, are embroiled in a lengthy legal battle, with Berry accusing Martinez of multiple breaches of their co-parenting agreement. She alleges he missed therapy sessions for their son, Maceo, and is trying to turn the 10-year-old against her.
In a recent court filing, Berry has accused Martinez of attempting to “dig up negative information” by enlisting a former employee, Erica, to document her interactions with Maceo and allegedly share them with the child’s therapist, Dr. Amy Goldman.
Berry detailed in her declaration: “I recently received a copy of Erica’s email to Dr. Goldman, where Erica, ‘per Olivier’s request’, sought a ‘confidential conversation’ with Dr. Goldman about her time in my household.”
Berry, 57, filed the complaint in Los Angeles after Martinez, 58, spent July in France. She further alleged that Martinez pressured Erica to contact Dr. Goldman by offering employment referrals and instructing her on what to say.
The couple, who were married for two years before their 2015 split, continued their divorce battle until 2023.
Sources suggest Martinez may have a personal vendetta against Berry, exacerbating the dispute over co-parenting therapy. Berry has accused Martinez of “obstructionist conduct” to extract money for his legal expenses. Martinez, in turn, has accused Berry of using her wealth and legal resources to pressure him into submission.
Following Berry’s request for sole custody, Martinez’s attorney has criticized her for seeking “extraordinary and draconian relief” regarding their son’s mental health and educational decisions. The attorney also claimed Berry is trying to expedite hearings and hinder Martinez’s defense by refusing to cover his legal fees.
