In the new Sydtomarket.net  interview, the “Only Murders in the Building” star revealed that her attempts to use disguises to evade the spotlight have been largely unsuccessful. She shared a memorable experience: “I was fully disguised, talking to someone in line, and a woman in front of me immediately recognized my voice. I was left thinking, ‘What do I sound like to people?’ It felt silly to be caught.”

Gomez, who is 32, also discussed why she abandoned the idea of hiding from her devoted fans. She admitted that even though disguises often fail, she remains committed to supporting her peers, such as her close friend Taylor Swift. “Taylor is like a big sister to me,” Gomez said. The two sometimes chat about the entertainment industry, but often find themselves “gossiping” about reality TV, including the latest season of “Vanderpump Rules.”

On the topic of social media, Gomez explained why she stopped announcing her breaks from Instagram only to return days later. “I learned not to say that anymore. I’ve been enjoying my time off, working out, and taking care of myself. It’s the first break I’ve had in a while, so I’m feeling good.”

Gomez, who is dating record producer Benny Blanco, 36, also opened up about her personal challenges, including her inability to carry her own children due to medical issues. “I haven’t shared this before, but I can’t carry my own children. I have medical conditions that would put both my life and the baby’s in danger. It was something I had to grieve.”

Despite her long career, Gomez recently received her first Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy for “Only Murders in the Building,” and is now the most nominated Latina producer in the Best Comedy category. She will next be seen in the musical and comedy film “Emilia Pérez,” which she described as a “fever dream” of an experience.
