Prince William “Tolerated” Prince Harry Until His Brother “Crossed the Line” with Multiple Tell-All Projects
Prince William and Prince Harry appeared close before the duke’s controversial “Megxit” move to the U.S., but their discord might have begun long before the dramatic departure, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Prince Harry’s departure from the royal fold in 2020 marked a significant shift in their relationship, though the tension may have started earlier, as noted by GB News host Isabel Webster. She compared the rift to the feud between the Gallagher brothers from Oasis, suggesting, “Presumably Noel [Gallagher] was just tolerating it for a while, and then he decided he didn’t need it in his life — much like William.”
Webster added, “William viewed Harry as the fun one until he crossed the line.”
Since Prince Harry’s public exit from the royal family, the brothers have not been seen together in the same room, and their strained relationship continues to be a topic of speculation.
Royal experts also ponder whether Kate Middleton misses her friendship with Harry. Royal author Christopher Andersen previously suggested that the Princess of Wales might be inclined to reconcile, noting that “Kate is loyal to her husband” and fully understands why William remains upset. Andersen mentioned that Kate is not pressing William to mend fences, given the family’s current challenges, including her own health issues and the king’s battle with cancer.
The last time Harry was at Balmoral Castle was in September 2022, during Queen Elizabeth’s death, and his absence from the royal family’s recent summer gatherings signifies a continued distancing.
Kate Middleton had previously made efforts to mediate between the brothers, notably during Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021, where she was seen stepping aside to allow William and Harry to walk together. Despite these efforts, the situation remained unresolved, particularly after Harry’s memoir, *Spare*, which criticized William and Charles.
While the royal family focuses on Kate’s health and King Charles’ wellbeing, the ongoing feud with Harry is not a priority. American commentator Kinsey Schofield noted, “Harry and Meghan are not on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ radar right now. Catherine is still receiving chemotherapy, is still exhausted, and is focused on her health and family.” The royals’ current focus is on Kate’s recovery and the future of the monarchy.
