Andy Grammer might be a multi-talented musician, but when it comes to his kids’ musical preferences, he takes a backseat to none other than Taylor Swift. In a candid chat with Us Weekly, Grammer, who is promoting his new album titled Monster, opened up about his daughters’ taste in music. His eldest, Louisiana, 7, is a dedicated Swiftie, while his younger daughter, Israel, 4, has a more casual approach, enjoying whatever is playing at the moment.

Grammer, who is 40 years old, quipped about his daughters’ reactions to his musical career. He reminisced about his collaborations with Swift, revealing that they have performed together on two occasions, including a memorable show at Soldier Field in Chicago during Swift’s 1989 tour back in 2015. He humorously noted that his children often seem baffled by the situation. They glance at a picture of him and Swift and wonder, “What are you talking about?”

Despite his daughters’ preferences, they do enjoy their father’s music. Grammer mentioned that both girls have a favorite song from his new album, with “Magic” taking the top spot.

The star also expressed his pride in his latest project, which marks his first release in five years. He shared that the album’s inspiration came from personal transitions in his life. Grammer addressed his tendency to be a people pleaser, emphasizing the importance of expressing one’s true self to foster growth.

Monster is set to drop on October 4, and based on Grammer’s insights, it seems to be a deeply personal and creative endeavor. With a blend of heartfelt themes and catchy melodies, it aims to resonate not only with his daughters but with fans of all ages. Andy Grammer continues to inspire while keeping it real, even in the face of fierce competition from pop titans like Taylor Swift.
