Bob Barker’s Grave Finally Marked with Headstone 13 Months After His Death as Family Honored His Wishes

Bob Barker’s Final Resting Place Gets a Headstone 13 Months After His Passing

In a poignant update, Bob Barker’s grave has finally received a headstone—13 long months after the beloved game show host died at the impressive age of 99. The modest marker simply states, “Robert W. Barker, 1923-2023,” and is adorned with a single red rose, a touching tribute to his legacy.

Barker was laid to rest at the celebrity-frequented Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, where he is interred beside his late wife, Dorothy Jo, who tragically succumbed to lung cancer at just 57 years old in 1981. Notably, his plot is in close proximity to the resting place of Matthew Perry, the former star of Friends.

The official cause of Barker’s death, as stated on his death certificate, was Alzheimer’s disease. While he etched his name into the hearts of fans through his iconic run on “The Price Is Right” from 1972 until 2007, Barker had made it clear that he desired no public funeral or memorial service. His long-time publicist, Roger Neal, shared that Barker preferred this final goodbye to be a private affair, respecting his deeply held wishes.

Despite being a household name for decades, much of Barker’s substantial estate, estimated at around $70 million, has been bequeathed to animal rights organizations—reflecting his lifelong commitment to animal welfare. An insider noted, “Bob’s profound love for animals was well-known throughout his life; this decision will not come as a surprise to those who knew him.”

As fans and loved ones remember Bob Barker, his legacy lives on—both through his contributions to entertainment and his unwavering advocacy for animal rights.
