Hoda Kotb is set to exit NBC’s Today show, but fans need not worry—she’s not fading away from the network. An insider has revealed to Closer Weekly that Hoda “is not planning on disappearing” and is looking forward to continuing her presence at NBC. The beloved journalist, who announced her departure during the September 26 episode, is expected to make her last appearance on Today in early 2025.

In explaining her decision to leave, Hoda expressed a desire for more quality time with her two young daughters, Haley and Hope. “I had my kiddos late in life, and I realized they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie,” she noted during her emotional announcement. Balancing her high-profile career and family duties, Hoda emphasized the importance of spending time with her children, acknowledging the finite nature of time we all have.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that Hoda is exploring new opportunities, including hosting specials and possibly transitioning to a more serious anchor role for NBC’s primetime programs. This move could provide her with “great money” while allowing her to avoid the grueling early morning hours that come with the daytime show.

Aside from her upcoming projects, Hoda is also in the early stages of developing a wellness initiative. She recently shared that she is enthusiastic about creating a wellness app and organizing retreats, driven by her personal journey in discovering healthier practices. Hoda is eager to explore this new path, indicating that it’s not just a job but a passion that has lit her up.

With these changes ahead, Hoda Kotb is clearly looking forward to her next chapter, doing so on her own terms, while still remaining a familiar face at NBC.
