Pete Davidson Tattoo Removal Update 2024
This week, Pete Davidson stepped into the spotlight at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and fans hardly recognized him. Once known for his striking collection of tattoos, the actor is now showing off a significantly cleaner appearance as he continues his journey to remove the majority of his ink.
In previous statements, Davidson revealed that he began his tattoo removal process back in 2020. The motivation? The lengthy time it takes to cover up his extensive body art for film roles—over 100 tattoos in total. During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, he confessed, “It takes like three hours. You have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, because for some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”
The removal process is no walk in the park. Pete shared, “Burning them off is worse than getting them. Not only are they burning off your skin, but you’re wearing these big goggles, right? So you can’t see anything, and the doctor’s in there with you.” This environment made an already awkward situation even more uncomfortable, as he described having to hear the doctor call out the names of his tattoos, leaving him feeling quite embarrassed.
His once vibrant canvases included a range of designs—from cartoon characters and quirky words like “wobbly” and “goon,” to matching tattoos with former partners. In a light-hearted moment, the 30-year-old recalled, “I’ll just be sitting there all high off of the Pro-Nox — which is actually quite fun, I enjoy it — and then all of a sudden I’ll just hear, ‘Are we keeping the Stewie Griffin smoking a blunt?’ And then I have to sit there and be like, ‘No, Dr. G.’”
It’s quite evident from recent photos that Davidson’s arms, which used to be nearly covered in tattoos, are now looking remarkably bare. This transformation is a testament to his commitment to getting rid of the ink. Interestingly, Pete had mentioned wanting to have all of his tattoos removed by the time he turned 30.
