Michael J. Fox Celebrates Daughter Esme’s Birthday with Heartfelt Tribute

Michael J. Fox recently celebrated a special milestone for his daughter Esmé, sharing heartfelt and rare images as she marked her 23rd birthday on November 3. In a touching Instagram post, he referred to Esmé as their “renaissance gal,” expressing his love and encouragement: “Esmé, Happy birthday to our renaissance gal. You do it all. Your Dood loves you very much … Who doesn’t? Keep living your best life.” The post featured three snapshots showcasing Esmé’s vibrant personality. One image captured her outside an eatery against a stunning sunset, dressed in a burgundy vest and denim skirt. Another focused on her bright smile across a dinner table, while the last showed her affectionately tickling her dog’s tummy at home in a casual white halter top and jeans.

Esmé, the youngest of Michael and his wife Tracy Pollan’s four children, has maintained a level of privacy despite her family’s public life. Michael and Tracy are proud parents of three more — their eldest son Sam Michael, born in May 1989, and twin daughters Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, born in February 1995. Tracy also paid tribute to Esmé, posting her own collection of photos from various adventures, including a trip to Sedona, Arizona. She wrote, “I love you @esmeannabelle Happy Birthday!!! I love absolutely everything about you and I am blessed to be able to explore the world with you! You are my heart.” Esmé responded in the comments, expressing her gratitude: “I love you so much thank you!!!”

While Esmé prefers to keep her social media private, her talents and accomplishments peek through her parents’ posts. Her Instagram bio playfully invites others to “play the cupid shuffle,” and she recently starred in a college theater production at Duke University, playing Lauren in the fall production of “Circle Mirror Transformation,” which ran from late October in Durham, North Carolina.

In addition to her acting aspirations, Esmé is passionate about journalism, currently working as a part-time reporter for The 9th Street Journal. Her impressive resume also includes internships at Bloomberg News and the Tampa Bay Times. Set to graduate from Duke in 2025 with a degree in global cultural studies and literature, she is minoring in journalism and visual media. Esmé also leads the “Pancakes for Parkinson’s” initiative, aligning with her father’s advocacy work since his diagnosis in 1991.

Michael J. Fox, beloved for his roles and his courage in battling Parkinson’s disease, remains a prominent figure in both the entertainment industry and health advocacy. Despite his challenges, he continues to take on acting roles where possible while supporting vital research for the condition. With a life full of love, support, and creativity, the Fox family continues to inspire, showing the importance of family even in the spotlight.
