Oritsé Williams of JLS welcomes baby boy with wife Kazz

JLS member Oritsé Williams is celebrating the arrival of his baby boy with wife Kazz, bringing joy to the couple after a challenging journey towards parenthood. The 37-year-old singer announced on social media last month that his wife was expecting, sharing heartfelt images of their journey together. However, he revealed that their son was born on October 3, seven days before the pregnancy announcement, at 6:47 AM, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces.

The couple has named their son Shiva Zion Olumidé Williams. Oritsé expressed his overwhelming joy, stating, “I’m on cloud nine. I’m in complete awe of my baby boy, he is truly a blessing and I’m proud of us.” He elaborated on the significance of their son’s name, explaining that “Shiva” is a revered figure in South Asian culture representing the destroyer of darkness and the creator of beauty. “Zion” reflects a cherished meaning of unity and peace in both Caribbean culture and his own African heritage, while “Olumidé,” one of Oritsé’s middle names, translates to “my hero has come.”

Support from his JLS bandmates—JB Gill, Aston Merrygold, and Marvin Humes—has poured in, with congratulatory messages warming the family’s hearts. Notably, singer Alexandra Burke also reached out to share her excitement.

On October 14, more than a week post-birth, Oritsé and Kazz joyfully announced their pregnancy, sharing their emotions about the experience. Oritsé lauded Kazz for her strength throughout their journey, emphasizing the trials they faced along the way. He expressed immense gratitude for the support from loved ones, stating, “Your kindness carries us, and we are forever thankful.”

In a poignant revelation, Oritsé reflected on previous heartaches, mentioning that he and Kazz had endured two miscarriages before welcoming their new addition. This new arrival makes Oritsé a father of two; he also has a 10-year-old son, Omré, from a prior relationship, although he has not seen him since he was an infant.

With excitement buzzing around this happy news, Oritsé’s family is now embracing their new chapter together, filled with love and hope for the future.
