Lance Bass Opens Up About Fatherhood and Upcoming 10-Year Anniversary with Michael Turchin

Lance Bass recently shared his thoughts on fatherhood and his plans to celebrate his 10-year wedding anniversary with husband Michael Turchin. Speaking at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala on November 15, Bass revealed that celebrating their anniversary can sometimes slip his mind due to the timing. “It’s strange because we got married on December 20, and with Christmas being my favorite holiday, I tend to forget about our anniversary,” said the former ‘NSYNC star. “We usually celebrate in the summer instead.”

Bass, 45, expressed excitement for this summer’s planned celebration, saying he wants to host a special gathering for their milestone. “I want it to be a nice party with the same people who came to our wedding, but we’re not doing any renewal of vows—just a great party,” he added.

Since welcoming twins Alexander and Violet through a surrogate in October 2021, Bass has embraced the joys and challenges of parenthood. Describing his young children’s current “threenager” phase, he humorously noted how screen time seems to affect their behavior. “I’ve noticed it particularly with my daughter. Whenever she spends time on a tablet, it feels like she turns into a different person afterward. It really changes their mood and energy levels.”

Reflecting on their journey as parents, Bass noted how having children has deepened his bond with Turchin, who he praised for being an outstanding father. “I always knew he would be a great dad, but he’s truly exceptional. The kids adore him, and he takes charge when I’m away for work.”

When asked what he admires most about Turchin after a decade together, Bass joked, “That he’s still with me.” He added, “We’re committed to each other for life.” As the couple prepares for their anniversary celebration, Bass looks forward to creating lasting memories with his family.
