Richard Gere is preparing to embark on a new chapter in his life by relocating to Spain. During a recent guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 75-year-old actor, known for his iconic role in Pretty Woman, revealed that he and his wife, Alejandra Silva, will be moving with their two young children.

Gere humorously acknowledged the change, saying, “My wife is Spanish. Is this a problem for anybody out there?” He further explained that after seven years in the U.S., it was time for them to spend some quality time in Madrid, where his wife’s family resides. Richard reassured fans, stating, “We’re going to return to America,” emphasizing that their bilingual children will thrive in Spain.

Richard and Alejandra, who tied the knot in 2018, share two sons, Alexander, aged 5, and 4-year-old James. Richard is also the father of a 24-year-old son, Homer, while Alejandra has an 11-year-old son named Albert.

In the same interview, Gere shared some insights into how they plan to celebrate the holidays in Madrid. He spoke about Alejandra’s upbringing in a large Spanish family and how her late grandmother used to be the centerpiece of family gatherings. “She’s already preparing for 35 people for Sunday lunches,” Richard excitedly revealed.

Just last month, it was reported that Gere sold his Connecticut home for a staggering $10.75 million, which has only intensified interest in his move. Keep an eye on this developing story as Richard and his family make their way across the Atlantic for this exciting new adventure.
