Kanye West Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Contestant on 2010 Music Video Set

Kanye West Faces Lawsuit for Alleged Sexual Assault of Model on Music Video Set

Kanye West is embroiled in legal trouble once again. Recent court documents reveal that the rapper, now 47, has been accused of sexually assaulting Jenifer “Jenn” An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, during the filming of La Roux’s “In for the Kill” back in 2010. The incident allegedly took place at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City while West was there for his contribution to a remix of the song.

According to the lawsuit filed on November 22, West reportedly took charge of the set, requesting that all the models line up in the hallway. An claims that West, after selecting her, made her feel uncomfortable with his comments about her outfit—she was in lingerie at the time. He allegedly told her, “That’s why I chose you.”

The suit details a disturbing series of events. West is accused of leading An to a couch positioned in front of a camera, where he began to touch her without consent. He allegedly began choking her and then intensified his grip, smothering her face with both hands. The documents state that West forcefully inserted fingers down her throat, simulating sexual acts, while making alarming remarks about art and his artistic vision.

An reported feeling panicked and attempted to look for help on set, but the abusive situation escalated to the point where she struggled to breathe and felt she might lose consciousness. She also noted an unsettling encounter where she made eye contact with then-girlfriend Selita Ebanks, who reportedly turned away.

Not only has An filed a lawsuit against West, but she is also taking action against Universal Music Group, alleging the company neglected to address the incident and failed to conduct an appropriate investigation due to West’s profitable status.

An is seeking unspecified damages, stating that the assault caused her significant emotional distress, humiliation, and ongoing trauma. She expressed that the experience has led to lasting physical and emotional repercussions, including loss of enjoyment of life.

This lawsuit adds to the controversy surrounding West, who has faced multiple accusations and criticisms throughout his career.
