Michael Villella, Star of ‘The Slumber Party Massacre,’ Dies at 84

Michael Villella, best known for his role as Russ Thorn in the classic horror flick “The Slumber Party Massacre,” has passed away at the age of 84. According to reports from TMZ, Villella’s daughter, Chloe, confirmed that he died on Saturday due to complications from multiple organ failure after being hospitalized for over a month.

 

Chloe shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, writing, “May you rest in peace daddy ♥️💋.” While his portrayal of the infamous killer in the 1982 film remains iconic, Villella also had roles in other productions, including “Love Letters,” “Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue,” and the TV series “Gotham.” He leaves behind his daughter and ex-wife, and his legacy in the world of cinema will not be forgotten.
