Nick Knowles has taken to social media to provide an update on his recovery journey following two significant surgeries. The 62-year-old television personality, known for his stint on Strictly Come Dancing, faced a challenging year after sustaining injuries that required him to undergo operations. One procedure involved reattaching his bicep, while the other focused on reconstructing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Both injuries occurred during his participation in the popular dance competition.
In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, Knowles was seen making his way up a staircase with the aid of crutches and medical assistance. In his post, he humorously reflected on his unexpected surgeries, stating that such challenges were certainly not on his Christmas wish list. He expressed his gratitude to his skilled surgeons, Mr. Ahrens and Mr. Jig Patel, for their expertise in handling his injuries.
Knowles stated his goal of returning to normal walking ability by early February, in time for his next project with DIY SOS. He outlined the extensive measures he is undergoing, which include multiple knee and elbow braces, crutches, and a regimen of physiotherapy. Despite the long road ahead, he remains optimistic about achieving full fitness by August 2025.
He also took a moment to commend his fiancée Katie Dadzie for her unwavering support during this trying period, acknowledging her patience as he navigates the challenges of recovery. Fans have rallied around him, sending messages of encouragement and well wishes as he continues on his path to healing.
The injuries stemmed from an unfortunate accident while changing a tire and a subsequent fall during rehearsals. As he continues to recover, Knowles remains focused on getting back to the top of his game.
