Adam Thomas Under Investigation Following Restaurant Closure

The entertainment world is buzzing with news that Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas is under scrutiny due to the downfall of his former restaurant, which reportedly left creditors with a staggering debt of £300,000. Thomas, who gained fame on the dance floor last year, launched his eatery, The Spinn, in Manchester back in 2019. Unfortunately, the venture closed its doors permanently in 2022 after just three years of operation.

As part of the liquidation process, accountants have compiled a report detailing the restaurant’s demise, revealing that the creditors are unlikely to recover any of the lost funds. Adam co-founded the restaurant alongside his friend Scott Graham, but later stepped down as a director. Despite his resignation, his activities are still included in the ongoing investigation by the liquidators.

According to a report from The Sun, the liquidators confirmed that they have communicated with both current and former directors as well as creditors. Their initial findings have been submitted to the Department for Business and Trade, but they noted that the investigation isn’t necessarily aimed at recovering funds for creditors. “Our investigations have not revealed any issues requiring further report or any further potential recoveries which could be pursued for the benefit of creditors,” the report stated.

Adam Thomas publicly addressed the closure of The Spinn, expressing his disappointment while highlighting the lessons learned during its run. “Unfortunately we have decided to close The Spinn. We did what we had to do with The Spinn and we learnt so much building our first venture,” he shared at the time. He went on to note that after the three years of operation, it was time to move on to new opportunities.

Since The Spinn’s closure, Adam has shifted his focus towards new endeavors, including the opening of The Spinn Off, a bar situated in Stockport, along with the launch of a hot sauce brand named Oh My Glaze.
