Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace Issues Stark Warning After Near-Death Experience with Counterfeit Weight-Loss Injections
Reality TV personality Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has opened up about a harrowing health scare that occurred after she used unregulated weight-loss injections. The 45-year-old former Big Brother contestant now cautions others against taking similar risks.
Aisleyne’s Challenges with Weight and Personal Loss
The reality star has shared her struggles with weight, which were exacerbated by personal losses. In 2024, the passing of her best friend and nephew led her to turn to food as a source of comfort, resulting in notable weight gain. “I was eating my feelings,” she recalled. “Last year was incredibly difficult. I lost my best friend, Femi, and my nephew in a short span of time. The grief was overwhelming, and I became reclusive. I stopped exercising and stopped cooking. I was indulging in late-night takeaways – cookies, cake, everything.”
In her quest to shed the extra weight, Aisleyne sought drastic solutions. She reported weight fluctuations from a size 12 down to size 8 after trying a counterfeit version of the diabetes medication Ozempic. “Initially, it seemed to work wonders. For the first three months, I felt fantastic. I had no cravings, wasn’t eating junk food, and had loads of energy,” she explained. “The results were exhilarating.”
The Dangers of Counterfeit Ozempic
However, the joy of rapid weight loss soon turned into a nightmare. Just three months into the treatment, Aisleyne’s health sharply declined. She described severe symptoms that left her bedridden. “I genuinely thought I was dying. I was vomiting, had diarrhea, and couldn’t stay awake. My vision became so blurred that my phone looked like a dark blur,” she shared.
Despite her worsening condition, Aisleyne hesitated to seek medical attention, fearing judgment over her choice to use black-market drugs. Instead, a close friend provided her with electrolyte drinks and coconut water to aid her recovery.
Following this traumatic experience, Aisleyne advises others to avoid “cutting corners” regarding their health. She emphasized the hazards of purchasing anything from the black market, stating, “You never know what’s in it.” After losing weight so rapidly, Aisleyne felt she looked “like a deflated balloon,” which led her to undergo surgery to help address the aftermath.
As Aisleyne’s story unfolds, it serves as a potent reminder of the risks associated with unregulated weight-loss products. What do you think of her cautionary tale? Join the conversation on social media and share your thoughts.
