All of Biden’s Executive Orders Rescinded by Trump

As soon as President Trump’s inauguration day wrapped up, he wasted no time signing a flurry of executive orders—26 to be exact—marking the highest count ever recorded on a first day of a presidency since the Office of the Federal Register began tracking these actions in 1937. These orders varied widely, from halting the TikTok ban to controversial moves like revoking birthright citizenship and even directing the Secretary of the Interior to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

One of Trump’s significant orders, “Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions,” specifically targeted 78 executive orders and presidential memoranda that had been put in place during Biden’s time in office. Following the signing of this pivotal order, pertinent details about the rescinded executive orders mysteriously disappeared from government websites, replaced by a frustrating 404 – Page Not Found error when attempting to access them on the White House site.

Here’s a detailed examination of the 78 Biden executive orders that Trump has rescinded:

Executive Order 13985 aimed at advancing racial equity and support for underserved communities within the federal government was among the first. Following closely, other notable orders included those focused on ensuring accurate census counts, mobilizing the government’s response to COVID-19, and establishing ethics commitments for executive branch personnel.

Numerous environmental and health-focused initiatives were also rescinded, including efforts to tackle climate change and orders aimed at improving access to healthcare during the pandemic. For instance, Executive Order 13990 was dedicated to restoring scientific approaches to environmental protection while several others dealt with issues like immigration policies and combating discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation.

Some orders specifically known for promoting equity in federal government practices, such as initiatives supporting the rights of transgender individuals in the military and addressing diversity and inclusion in federal workplaces, were rolled back as well.

The sweeping changes from Trump’s Day 1 executive actions seemed largely aimed at unraveling Biden’s progressive legacy. The quick elimination of these orders raised eyebrows, with critics and legal experts speculating that we could see more contentious legal battles ahead as lawsuits challenging several of these actions begin to unfold.

Meanwhile, as these political maneuvers continue to evolve, many observers are left wondering about the longer-term implications for policies related to diversity, healthcare, and environmental justice that Biden championed during his administration. The race between these two political ideologies showcases a fierce debate at the core of American political life, reflecting deeper societal divisions as we move forward.
