CBS has made significant changes to its television lineup as we gear up for the 2025-2026 broadcast season, leading to the cancellation of several beloved shows. Among the series cut from the network is “Blue Bloods,” which aired its final episode in December 2024. The show’s star, Tom Selleck, expressed his disappointment over the cancellation, stating that the show concluded on a high note and lamenting the lack of clarity regarding CBS’s decision to end it.

The cancelations don’t stop there; two spinoffs from the “FBI” franchise, “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International,” have also met their demise. “FBI: Most Wanted” enjoyed a successful six-season run, while “FBI: International” concluded after four seasons. Keisha Castle-Hughes from “Most Wanted” shared her gratitude for the experience, highlighting the memories and friendships formed during her time on the series. Eva-Jane Willis from “International” expressed sadness over the cancellation but was thankful for the adventures and memories created during filming.

In another surprising move, CBS canceled “S.W.A.T.” after its eighth season, marking the third time the show has faced cancellation. Star Shemar Moore humorously reflected on the show’s unique status, having been canceled and revived twice before, and hinted at seeking a new home for the show, suggesting platforms like Netflix and other networks to consider picking it up.

Additionally, CBS announced that “The Neighborhood” would end with its upcoming eighth season. Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, praised the show’s creative team, led by Cedric the Entertainer, for their contributions to the network and for providing consistent entertainment during its run.

As CBS reshapes its programming for the future, fans of these shows will undoubtedly feel the impact of these cancellations. The network is focusing on a new direction, but the legacy of these canceled series and the talent behind them will not go unnoticed.
