Chelsea O’Donnell Arrested Again While on Bail

Chelsea O’Donnell, the daughter of comedian Rosie O’Donnell, finds herself in trouble once again, marking her third arrest while on bail. Just five days after being released from jail on earlier drug-related charges, the 27-year-old was stopped by police in Niagara, Wisconsin, on November 18 due to a loud exhaust from the vehicle.

Court documents reveal that Chelsea was a passenger in the car when police noticed “pick marks” on her face. Upon asking for her identification, Chelsea was unable to produce it but provided her name and date of birth, which led the officer to discover her ongoing legal issues related to drug offenses from Marinette and Oconto counties.

Concerned about her past, the officer had a K9 unit sniff the car, resulting in a positive alert for drugs. During a search, authorities found naloxone—a medication used to counteract opioid overdoses—in the trunk. Chelsea, who was reportedly “actively using” meth at the time, now faces multiple serious charges, including felony counts for possession of methamphetamine, as well as for narcotics, in addition to misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer and drug paraphernalia possession.

While being searched, Chelsea removed a “clear smoking device” from her bra, which contained meth residue. Initially argumentative, she later complied with police requests. Following her arrest, she was taken to Marinette County Jail, where a further search uncovered illegal prescription pills, including hydrocodone and alprazolam.

Chelsea’s recent legal troubles come just after she was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety under the terms of her bail for earlier charges of child neglect and drug possession. According to the bail conditions, she was explicitly prohibited from consuming alcohol or any illegal substances, including controlled drugs without a valid prescription.

Following the infraction, Chelsea appeared in court via video link on December 2 and remains in custody. Her next court appearance is slated for December 12, as her situation continues to attract media attention and concern from her family, particularly Rosie O’Donnell, who has spoken out regarding her daughter’s challenges.
