Grohl, who has been married to former model Jordyn Blum since 2003, has three children with her: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. He did not disclose the identity of the woman he had the child with or the name of his newborn daughter. Grohl added that he intends to be a supportive and loving parent to his new child and is committed to regaining the trust and forgiveness of his wife and children.

Fans responded by using the Foo Fighters’ famous lyrics to express their disapproval, with many taking to social media to criticize Grohl. The rock star turned off comments on his Instagram post, but the backlash continued online.

Disappointed fans shared memes and expressed their frustration, with some questioning Grohl’s sincerity and respect for his family. One commenter wrote, “Regain trust? For having no respect for your wife? Yeah, move along,” while another added, “Aw, ffs, Dave… damn. Just damn.”

Other fans accused Grohl of dishonesty, with one posting an old photo of him with his pants on fire, captioned, “I had no idea Dave Grohl was a liar, but this speaks for itself.” Another quipped, “Dave Grohl missed a trick not opening this statement with ‘I’ve got another confession to make’,” referencing the Foo Fighters song “Best of You.”

Amid the controversy, Grohl’s two eldest daughters, Violet and Harper, have reportedly deleted their social media accounts.

Previously, Grohl had admitted to struggles in his first marriage to Jennifer Youngblood, which ended in 1997 due to his infidelity. He had described himself as someone who gravitated toward chaos but craved stability, finding grounding in his relationship with Jordyn and their children.
