Elon Musk Denies Plans for Secretive Texas Compound, Calls It a Futuristic Art Project

Elon Musk Disputes Cult-Like Texas Compound Speculation, Labels It an Art Initiative

Elon Musk has pushed back against rumors suggesting he is constructing a secretive compound in Texas for his large family. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO clarified that while he isn’t building a secluded home, he is intending to develop a “futuristic art project” in the Austin area, which will be accessible to the public.

Musk spoke with PageSix, stating emphatically, “I don’t own, nor am I building a compound in Austin. No grand family compound/home has been built or is expected to be built.” This statement comes amid reports suggesting he had acquired a $35 million mansion styled after luxurious Tuscan estates. Speculation mounted after The New York Times reported he was aiming to create a family compound by integrating adjacent properties.

Responding to this, Musk insisted he doesn’t follow the New York Times and had not read the article in question. Furthermore, the report mentioned that Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis was already residing at the supposed mansion with the three children she shares with Musk. He addressed this by clarifying, “Shivon has her own house, and she bought it for much less than that.”

The article also stated that Grimes, Musk’s ex-partner, has been avoiding the alleged Texas compound amid their ongoing legal dispute concerning child custody. Musk refuted this claim as well, stating, “Claire lives in LA in her own house. Our kids spend alternating weeks in Texas and California.”

Moreover, the Times noted that Musk’s first wife, Justine Musk, had still not relocated to Texas. Musk remarked, “Justine lives in LA and isn’t moving to Austin.” The billionaire is currently transitioning his business operations, having announced earlier in July his intent to move X and SpaceX to Austin.

In a separate development, the report claimed Musk had made an unusual offer of sperm donation at a social event. Musk countered this, saying, “I did not offer to be a sperm donor to Nicole or some random married couple.”

Musk’s interest in Austin continues to grow as he makes plans regarding his family and business in the region.
