The undisputed queen of Halloween has done it once again. For Halloween 2024, Heidi Klum embraced her extraterrestrial side, delivering yet another jaw-dropping transformation at her much-anticipated Halloween bash in New York City. This year, Klum, 51, amazed guests with a stunning ET costume alongside her husband, Tom Kaulitz.

ET, the beloved extraterrestrial from the iconic 1982 film directed by Steven Spielberg, was the inspiration behind Klum’s costume choice, featuring distinct details that paid homage to the character’s memorable scenes. Klum’s ensemble included a hat and scarf reminiscent of the film’s dress-up sequences with the character Gertie, portrayed by Drew Barrymore.

Her makeup was nothing short of spectacular, as Klum transformed with a complete facial prosthetic design that gave her a reptilian appearance, with scales meticulously applied over her face and neck. Her own eyes peeked out from the costume’s neck, while the head of ET sat above her, completing the stunning look.

Tom Kaulitz also donned a version of the ET costume, but opted for a simpler interpretation without the extra costume accessories that made Klum’s outfit pop. Leading up to the big night, Klum engaged with fans via a live Amazon stream, showcasing the elaborate process of putting together her unforgettable Halloween look—a time-consuming endeavor that spanned several hours.

Earlier in the week, Klum teased her costume idea during a visit to the Empire State Building, playfully hinting that her concept was “from a different planet” and confirming it would be a couples costume. She expressed gratitude for her husband’s dedication, understanding the extensive planning and fitting that goes into her creative process.

“I have a vision, a concept, and then I leave it to my team to bring it to life,” Klum shared. “I love tackling extravagant ideas that aren’t easily found in stores. It makes the process so much more enjoyable.”

As Halloween approached, Klum had previously shared her excitement about the upcoming costume with today’s audience, stating it would have an outer-worldly vibe with plenty of prosthetics.
