Kim Kardashian Shares Family’s Plans for a Simplified Christmas

Kim Kardashian has ignited speculation about her family’s financial situation following her announcement that the Kardashian-Jenner clan will have a more subdued Christmas Eve celebration this year. The socialite is currently revamping her $60 million mansion in Calabasas while her sister Khloe is also renovating her new residence adjacent to their mother Kris Jenner’s home in Hidden Hills.

For years, the Kardashians have been known for their lavish holiday festivities. However, during the launch of her new SKIMS store in New York City, Kim shared their shift in plans. “We’re having a very low-key Christmas Eve this year due to all the ongoing construction,” she explained. “We’re opting for an intimate family gathering that I’m really looking forward to. Of course, we’ll still dress up exquisitely because that’s our trademark. We’ve had some iconic Christmas Eve parties in the past, and we’re just getting started. Our kids adore them, and now all their friends want to join in. It’s such a wonderful tradition.”

In a conversation with Vogue earlier this month, Kim also touched on another recent challenge: a broken foot that has forced her to navigate with a scooter. “Sometimes you just have to handle it, broken foot and all,” she remarked. Alongside a photo of her foot in a boot cast accompanied by Fergie’s song “Clumsy,” Kim couldn’t help but vent her frustrations, posting a candid “FML” caption with a swearing emoji.

In a previous episode of The Kardashians, she recounted the story of her injury, which occurred when her son Saint, nine, dashed into the bathroom with snacks. When Kim urged him to put the chips away, the door unexpectedly slammed on her fingers. “I looked down at my hand and fell to the ground. I just reached for the table to steady myself because I saw so much blood. It was an indescribable pain, even worse than childbirth.”

Last year’s Christmas celebration at Kim’s house featured an impressive guest list, but this year’s will be a marked departure from the norm.

The foot injury comes just after Kim celebrated her son Saint’s ninth birthday, whom she affectionately referred to as “one of my soulmates.” In a heartfelt post on December 5, she reflected on their moments together: “My little man turns 9 today. Going through our photos, I noticed most are cozy cuddling shots. I always wish he would stay snuggly forever! Cheers to one of my soulmates for being such a sweet boy. Happy birthday. Love you.”
