Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have just revealed some thrilling news about their popular show, “Live With Kelly and Mark.” The duo is set to tape a special series of episodes in a dream locale—Palm Springs, California. The episodes will be filmed at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa, marking an exciting venture for the couple. “We manifested this. We really did,” Mark said in a recent interview. He reminisced about how the idea of taking the show to Palm Springs began as a lighthearted suggestion, which gradually morphed into a reality after they expressed their enthusiasm to producer Michael Gelman.
Despite speculation that they might permanently relocate to the West Coast, Kelly and Mark clarified that they still reside in their Manhattan penthouse and have no immediate plans to move. Regular tapings of “Live” happen in New York City, although the show occasionally travels to different locations each season. The Palm Springs episodes are scheduled for November 10 and 11.
This charming destination holds a special place in their hearts, as Kelly and Mark first visited Palm Springs over a decade ago for a party at the famed Merv Griffin Estate. “We were just gobsmacked by how beautiful it was, the perfect weather, the crystal blue skies, the mountains,” Kelly fondly recalled, describing how every trip to Palm Springs felt like a cherished escape for their family.
The couple has frequently visited Palm Springs with their children—Michael, Lola, and Joaquin—over the years, and the upcoming shows will celebrate the wonderful memories they’ve created there. “This is one everyone is excited about,” Kelly expressed, highlighting the positive energy surrounding the tapings. She previously mentioned in January her long-term desire to potentially retire in Palm Springs, hinting at a new hobby of learning bridge. Mark even gifted her bridge lessons last Christmas. “So I am halfway there because I have my bridge lessons, and you’re obligated to move us to Palm Springs, where 90 percent of bridge players live,” Kelly joked.
With the excitement building for the Palm Springs tapings, it’s clear that this special initiative brings not only a change of scenery for “Live” but also a deeper connection to the joys and memories that Kelly and Mark cherish as a family.
