Millionaires Dennis Quaid and Sarah Michelle Gellar Compete for Rooms at $18k-a-Night Hotel After L.A. Wildfires Destroy Their Mansions

A-listers Clash for Luxurious Accommodations Amidst L.A. Wildfires

In the midst of raging wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles, a number of Hollywood’s elite, including actors Dennis Quaid and Sarah Michelle Gellar, have found themselves in a fierce competition for rooms at the lavish Hotel Bel-Air. After evacuating their multimillion-dollar properties, these celebrities are now seeking refuge in one of the city’s most exclusive destinations.

Eyewitnesses spotted Quaid, Gellar, her husband Freddie Prinze Jr., rock legend Tommy Lee, and Batman star Michael Keaton amidst the chaos at the historic hotel. With the rates soaring to a staggering $18,000 per night, many of these stars have resorted to booking multiple nights as the flames threaten their homes in Southern California.

As of January 11, multiple wildfires continue to ravage the area. The Palisades Fire is currently just 11% contained, while the Eaton Fire shows 15% containment. According to data from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, firefighters have successfully contained the Kenneth Fire at 90%, the Hurst Fire at 76%, and have completely managed the Lidia Fire. The Kenneth Fire alone has consumed over 1,000 acres, although thankfully, there have been no reports of property damage. Contrastingly, the Eaton Fire has expanded significantly, resulting in the loss of over 7,000 structures as it spread to more than 14,100 acres.

The Pacific Palisades fire, the most extensive in the vicinity, has engulfed over 20,000 acres. Meanwhile, over 100,000 residents in Los Angeles have been forced to evacuate.

In response to the devastation, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that firefighting teams from Mexico have joined local crews grappling with the wildfires. He shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing gratitude for the support as their efforts continue with over 14,000 personnel on the front lines battling the Palisades Fire. CAL FIRE also updated the public, stating that additional support has arrived from Texas, Canada, and nearby states to bolster California’s firefighting efforts.

As actors and lawmakers navigate the aftermath of this natural disaster, the stories of resilience and community support persist in the face of adversity.
