Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has opened up about her seemingly “deflated” appearance during her recent performance, offering insight into her emotional state. Tasha and professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec danced a tango to Florence + The Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over,” earning a respectable 34 points out of 40 in the latest competition.

During her appearance on It Takes Two, Tasha revealed that the week leading up to the routine had been particularly challenging for her. This came on the heels of criticism following their Charleston performance in week four, where they received three perfect 10s from the judges.

When host Fleur East inquired about her mindset post-performance, Tasha candidly admitted, “I had quite a rough week last week, emotionally. There was a lot of noise after we did the Charleston that affected me. I started to question whether I deserved to be here.”

She shared that negativity from some viewers had begun to cloud her confidence, prompting her to wonder about her place in the competition. However, she credited Aljaz for his unwavering support, stating, “He picked me up and reminded me that I do deserve to be here. We’re in this together.”

Despite the distractions, Tasha refocused her intentions, realizing that she was pursuing this journey for herself and to make her friends and family proud. She committed to putting in extra effort in the upcoming week.

In week four, despite the backlash regarding their Charleston, Tasha and Aljaz had dazzled judges with their performance, receiving an impressive score of 39. Viewers, however, were split in their opinions, with some feeling she was overmarked.

Responses to Tasha’s performance have varied widely; while some applauded her talent, others expressed reservations about the scores she received. Tasha’s journey on the show continues to draw attention, sparking lively discussions among fans.
