Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, the eldest daughter of Rosie O’Donnell, has found herself in serious legal trouble, being arrested twice in a single month on multiple charges, including drug trafficking and child neglect. The unsettling incidents came to light following reports from law enforcement after they were called to her residence on September 10 during a heated altercation with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund.
When officers from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office arrived, Chelsea insisted that everything was fine, despite apparent signs to the contrary. The police, however, suspected deceit based on prior encounters with her. Amid discussions, Chelsea mentioned her young son, Atlas, was in the home with Nelund. As the situation escalated, police detained Chelsea outside and discovered a meth pipe containing drug residue in her possession. Upon entering the house, they encountered distressing conditions, including drug paraphernalia and unsanitary living conditions, illustrating a blatant disregard for the welfare of her child.
Descriptions from the police report painted a grim picture: dirty needles littered the home, and the kitchen was filled with rotting food and moldy dishes. Additionally, used hygiene products and other hazardous items cluttered the space, leading officers to express concern for the child’s safety. A follow-up search revealed more drug paraphernalia, including a used meth pipe and bags containing methamphetamine. Chelsea was subsequently released on bond, but her run-ins with the law were far from over.
On October 11, just weeks following her first arrest, Chelsea faced police again after being pulled over for suspicious behavior while driving. According to the officer’s account, Chelsea appeared evasive and attempted to dispose of a meth pipe by throwing it over a nearby fence; however, her attempt was thwarted. The search of her vehicle revealed additional dirty needles in the center console, further complicating her legal predicament. After being taken to jail, the facility staff refused her until she was medically cleared due to concerns over the items hidden in her bra, believed to include more drug paraphernalia.
Both arrests have raised significant concerns regarding Chelsea’s ability to care for her young son, with a hearing scheduled for November to address the serious accusations against her. The situation serves as a troubling reminder of the consequences that can arise from substance abuse and its impact on family dynamics.
