FKA Twigs Accuses Shia LaBeouf in Legal Filing Before Assault Trial, He Responds

FKA Twigs is back in the spotlight, once again taking aim at her ex Shia LaBeouf in recent legal documents filed ahead of an upcoming trial for sexual battery and assault. This legal battle has reignited old tensions, as Twigs had previously accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault, and causing emotional distress four years ago. Now, new developments highlight ongoing disputes over legal procedures, including allegations of missing electronic devices and both parties appearing to evade depositions.

On October 18, Twigs submitted a statement to the court, indicating that LaBeouf had failed to uphold basic discovery obligations. According to her filing, LaBeouf suddenly became “unavailable” for a scheduled deposition on October 11, which raised eyebrows about his commitment to the legal process. The document states that LaBeouf had provided an “egregiously evasive” response to written discovery, yielding only nine pages of documents. Twigs contends that LaBeouf is hiding something, claiming he lost or destroyed electronic devices containing relevant information before this lawsuit began, while she has produced a substantial amount of evidence.

In her statement, Twigs highlighted that LaBeouf failed to attend an agreed-upon deposition. She noted that this last-minute change has caused significant disruption. The filing details that the two had mutually agreed on a deposition schedule, with LaBeouf set to go first. However, when it came time to follow through, he allegedly reneged on this arrangement, leaving Twigs to seek relief from the court.

In response, LaBeouf’s legal team pushed back, stating that Twigs has been so busy working that she hasn’t made herself available for her own deposition over the past two years. They accused Twigs of engaging in her own form of “gamesmanship.” The lawyers emphasized that had there been a genuine agreement about the deposition schedule, LaBeouf would have already been deposed, as he resides in Los Angeles.

The legal friction comes just days before a critical hearing set for October 25, at which point a trial date is expected to be established. This ongoing clash shows no signs of resolution as both parties appear to be entrenched in their positions.

As the legal drama unfolds, the story continues to develop. Keep an eye on these proceedings to see how it all plays out in court.
