Max pushes Joel off a bridge in Coronation Street: Here’s what happens next.

Coronation Street: Just revealed, Max pushed Joel off a bridge. Here’s what to expect next.

In an explosive twist from tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, a flashback has unveiled that Max pushed Joel Deering over a bridge. On the fateful night of September 27, Max struck Joel with a rock before shoving him into the river. But the question remains: Did Max truly intend to kill Joel?

Max claims his actions were in self-defense. Following a night of turmoil, Lisa Swain was released from police custody, leading to a pivotal conversation where Carla informed Dee-Dee and Lisa that she had spotted Max and Lauren with Joel’s suitcase on the night he vanished. Earlier, Carla had visited the pair in the hospital, only to find their reluctance to clarify what transpired. This prompted Carla to take the matter to the police.

With law enforcement eager to talk with them, Max and Lauren hatched an escape plan. Max instructed Lauren to gather supplies for Frankie and meet him in twenty minutes, ready to make a run for it and start anew far from their troubles. However, upon returning to their old apartment, Lauren discovered a letter from Max revealing his decision to turn himself in to the police regarding Joel’s death.

In a chilling police interview, Max recounted the altercation with Joel, asserting that he acted out of self-defense when he hit him with the rock. After confirming Joel was dead, he disposed of the body, pushing it from the railway tracks and over the bridge into the river below. At the police station, a visibly shaken David watched as Max was led down to his cell.

This coming Friday, November 15, viewers will finally uncover the truth behind Joel’s fate as the series reveals the real killer. While Max appears to be implicated, the true identity of the killer will be unveiled in a special episode featuring flashbacks that revisit the events of that tragic night. Following the episode, a live Coronation Street follow-up will air, hosted by Sharon Marshall, where cast members will share their reactions to the shocking identity reveal.
