Kyle Richards Avoids Mentioning Morgan Wade in RHOBH Season 14 Premiere
In the much-anticipated premiere of Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards has chosen to keep Morgan Wade out of the conversation. At Sutton Stracke’s surrealism-themed gathering, Kyle, 55, engaged with her castmates, specifically Garcelle Beauvais, and hinted that the media frenzy surrounding her and Morgan, 29, is largely to blame for ongoing speculation.
“There’s a lot of interest in the person they keep mentioning,” Kyle stated. “I’m deliberately not using her name. I don’t want to speak for anyone but myself.” Kyle asserted that, at this moment, there’s no story to share regarding her relationship with Wade, adding, “I wish I had something to say, but that’s just not the case.”
The relationship between Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade has been a source of intrigue, especially since Kyle’s separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, which was publicly acknowledged in July 2023. They both described the past year in their marriage as particularly challenging, leaving fans to speculate about Kyle’s close friendship with Wade amidst her personal turmoil.
During the episode, Garcelle remarked that it seemed counterproductive for Kyle to stop referencing Morgan after so much discussion about her in previous seasons. “It’s a little late to stop saying her name now,” Garcelle noted, pointing out Morgan’s appearance in Season 13.
Kyle reiterated that public speculation regarding her and Morgan has caused her emotional distress. “It’s been a lot of pressure,” she confessed, adding that the music video featuring her as Morgan’s romantic interest only added to the confusion. Garcelle chimed in, suggesting that Kyle’s coy demeanor in the video seemed to invite further speculation.
Kyle emphasized her focus is on her own journey and feelings, saying, “I can only speak for myself and I’m not here to make comments about anyone else, especially someone who hasn’t agreed to this level of exposure.” In her confession, Kyle mentioned that discussions about her sexuality were surprisingly prompted by public dialogues, suggesting that she had never questioned it until it became a topic of conversation.
Despite her discomfort, Kyle has maintained that fans would not gain clarity regarding her friendship with Morgan through the current season, even as their bond began through music when Kyle discovered Wade’s work while driving. Expressing her respect for Morgan’s privacy, Kyle affirmed, “It’s not fair for me to talk about her. She needs to speak for herself.”
Garcelle concluded during the episode that while Kyle is under no obligation to share her personal life, the audience’s curiosity is evident. “Kyle doesn’t owe us anything about her sexuality or her life, but people do want to know,” Garcelle said candidly.
