Lala Kent has opened up about her journey of coparenting her daughter Ocean with her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett. While appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Kent shared insights on how they navigate their responsibilities as parents. Kent, 34, emphasized that both she and Emmett, 53, are united by their commitment to their four-year-old daughter. “We’ve reached a point where our shared goal is what’s best for Ocean,” she stated during the November 19 episode.

Despite the challenges that come with coparenting, Kent insists that they have some meaningful exchanges. “It’s not always perfect, but we find common ground,” she noted. The Vanderpump Rules star reflected on their relationship, which became public in 2018 and saw the couple engaged shortly after. They welcomed Ocean in March 2021, just months before their official split.

Kent describes navigating their relationship as a rollercoaster ride. “Some days we get along, and others, well, he knows how to push my buttons,” she said, adding that their main focus remains their daughter. Followed by their breakup, which reportedly stemmed from trust issues, Kent admitted that being a single mother has its trials. “There are days when I question my strength, but Ocean is my motivation,” she reflected.

In a candid moment, Kent revealed that she experienced feelings of isolation during her pregnancy and afterward, believing that Emmett began a relationship with someone else shortly after Ocean’s birth. She recalled moments leading up to the split when her concerns became evident. In March 2022, she made her feelings clear on social media, stating that she often felt alone during significant times.

Despite the tumultuous past, Kent has expressed optimism about their current coparenting situation. “We’re moving towards a place of parallel parenting with minimal direct contact,” she said. Lala is also enjoying her newfound happiness as she recently welcomed her second daughter, Sosa, into her life. Reflecting on this new chapter, she expressed her overwhelming joy in an emotional post on Instagram.
