Mango Achieves US Expansion Objectives for 2024 and Sets Plans for Additional Growth in 2025
In an impressive display of strategic planning and execution, Mango has successfully surpassed its 2024 goals for US expansion, operating 40 stores and aiming for 42 by the year’s end. The brand has ambitious plans to add over 20 new locations in 2025, which will elevate its US total to approximately 65 stores. This endeavor involves an investment exceeding $70 million, alongside a commitment to doubling its workforce to around 1,200 employees.
The latest chapter in Mango’s journey includes the recent opening of a point of sale in El Paso, Texas, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s US presence. Mango’s director of expansion and franchising, Daniel López, expressed pride in this achievement, emphasizing the company’s dedication to the US market—a cornerstone of its international strategy.
In 2025, Mango intends to further solidify its presence, strategically targeting the Sun Belt and Northeast regions. Noteworthy planned openings encompass locations in Washington, Illinois, and Nevada, including spots at Bellevue Square in the Pacific Northwest and Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Additionally, Mango will venture into new states such as Connecticut, Arizona, Ohio, Oregon, and Louisiana, while intensifying its footprint in California, particularly around the San Francisco area, and in Houston, Texas.
These future stores will introduce a Mediterranean-inspired design concept, emphasizing sustainability and architectural harmony. The new stores will echo the aesthetics of Mediterranean homes, featuring warm tones and neutral colors complemented by traditional and natural materials.
The expansion initiative entails significant logistics enhancements as well. Mango recently inaugurated its second off-site logistics center outside Angeles, which spans 12,000 square meters and manages 20,000 daily operations. This facility, together with another center established in Pennsylvania in 2022, will cater to the growing demands of the brand’s online operations across the nation.
Mango’s ambitious growth plan is a key aspect of its 4E strategic framework for 2024-2026, aiming to highlight the brand’s unique value proposition while boosting sales both in-store and online. Currently, the US is among Mango’s top five markets and is projected to rank among the trio of main markets in terms of revenue by 2026.
Since establishing its foothold in the US in 2006, Mango has undertaken a comprehensive expansion strategy, including the launch of its flagship store at 711 Fifth Avenue in New York City in 2022. The company’s initial expansion phase focused on enhancing its presence in New York and Florida, demonstrating Mango’s relentless pursuit of growth and leadership in the competitive fashion landscape.
