Amanda Holden’s ‘first and last’ tattoo receives criticism from husband Chris

Amanda Holden has recently unveiled her very first tattoo, and it seems her husband Chris isn’t too impressed. On November 6, during her appearance on Heart Breakfast, Amanda shared her tattoo journey with listeners. Filling in for Jamie Theakston, co-host Jason King couldn’t help but ask, “What on earth have you done, Amanda?”

Amanda recounted her spontaneous decision to get inked while in Los Angeles. She explained that while enjoying a cup of tea with her friend Sarah, she noticed something exciting about her friend’s new tattoo. Overcome with excitement, she declared, “Oh my gosh, I am going to do that,” prompting Sarah to encourage her to take the plunge.

After a bit of teasing with her other friend Jane, Amanda went for it. “I’d always been totally against tattoos,” she admitted, yet the thrill of the moment drove her to go to a tattoo artist where they both agreed to get matching designs.

Returning home, Amanda found it amusing that her family failed to notice her new wrist tattoo. She mentioned how she dropped hints around her husband, even pretending to wipe her brow to show off her ink. However, when the moment came to reveal it to Chris, his reaction was predictable. Amanda recounted, “He had all three reactions I expected—first, he said it looks fake. Second, he called it naff. And thirdly, he wondered if I’d be getting more.”

Her tattoo features two little hearts, symbolizing her two children, and Amanda expressed a desire to add another small tattoo in the future. Jason chimed in with humor, suggesting that she might end up with an elaborate sleeve like David Beckham. Amanda joked back, hoping Victoria Beckham’s response was warmer than her husband’s.

In other news during the segment, Amanda also shared her festive spirit by revealing that her Christmas tree was already decorated, complete with a Mariah Carey figurine on top. She delightedly recounted her unique holiday preparations, including a pink themed tree and enjoying a festive drink.
