Chris Pratt Criticizes Negative Attitudes of Hollywood Actors
Chris Pratt has expressed his frustrations regarding the negative attitudes displayed by some Hollywood actors during film production. Speaking at the New York Comic Con panel for his latest Netflix film, The Electric State, on October 17, Pratt emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset on set.
The 45-year-old star, joined by his co-star, Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, articulated that a bad attitude can be detrimental to the filmmaking process. He stated, “There’s no room for poor attitudes. They spoil the experience for everyone involved, and trust me, it doesn’t end well for those who bring negativity.”
Pratt further addressed the absurdity of negativity in a dream job scenario, questioning, “Are you struggling to enjoy your dream? Can you pull it together and have some fun?” He believes that a positive disposition is essential for a successful and harmonious working environment.
Sharing his thoughts on his co-star, Pratt praised Brown for her hard work and kind-hearted nature, recounting how their on-set friendship blossomed. “We had a fantastic time filming together. I can’t get rid of her now,” he joked.
The Electric State, directed by the Russo Brothers, is adapted from Simon Stålenhag’s graphic novel. In this sci-fi adventure, Brown plays a teenage orphan on a quest to find her brother amid a robot uprising. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Ke Huy Quan and Stanley Tucci, alongside voice contributions from Jason Alexander and Anthony Mackie.
After completing The Electric State, the Russo Brothers will return to the Marvel Universe with highly anticipated films like Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Pratt’s comments serve as a reminder of the need for positivity in the entertainment industry, reinforcing that a great attitude not only enhances the filmmaking experience but fosters a collaborative spirit among cast and crew.
