Paul Feig Addresses A Simple Favor 2 Rumors
In the world of film, rumors can spread like wildfire, especially when it comes to sequels. Recently, chatter emerged about A Simple Favor 2 facing delays, allegedly due to Blake Lively’s legal disputes with director Justin Baldoni. This speculation got a boost from a viral tweet which suggested the film was shelved indefinitely.
However, Paul Feig, the director of the first film and set to return for the sequel, was quick to dismiss these claims. Taking to Twitter, he firmly stated, “This is total BS. Sorry.” He reassured fans that the movie is completed and on track for release.
When prompted by a user to explain why a release date hadn’t been announced, Feig elaborated on the post-production process. “My friend, it’s called post production, which generally takes over half a year at least when you factor in editing, scoring, special effects, sound mixing, close captioning, and all the technical quality control that has to be done.”
He further explained that the timeline for wrapping up these processes was always aimed for mid-January. Feig clarified that studios typically strategize the ideal release date well in advance. “We’ve always planned on something in the spring/summer of this year. That’s how movies work. I hope this helps.”
These comments from Feig should put to rest any fears about A Simple Favor 2 being delayed. Excitement builds as fans await the much-anticipated sequel, with its return of Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick promising another thrilling ride.
