Blake Lively has made serious allegations against Justin Baldoni, her co-star and director in It Ends with Us. Lively claims that Baldoni entered her trailer while she was in a state of undress and allowed his friends to watch the filming of intimate scenes. According to legal documents, the actress, who is 37, expressed her concerns during a meeting attended by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and other key figures involved in the production.
Filed on December 20, the lawsuit described a troubling work atmosphere that threatened to disrupt the film’s production. Lively’s attorneys noted an “all-hands” meeting that took place on January 4 to discuss her grievances, with Baldoni and Jamey Heath, the CEO of Baldoni’s company Wayfarer Studios, present. The documents outline protocols that were agreed upon, including a prohibition on Baldoni entering Lively’s trailer while she is undressed and ensuring that all actors involved in intimate scenes are pre-approved by Lively.
Baldoni is accused of improvising physical intimacy without prior agreement, reportedly making Lively uncomfortable during filming. The lawsuit details instances where he allegedly bit and sucked on her lower lip during takes and persisted in his methods despite her evident discomfort. Lively also described inappropriate inquiries from Baldoni, including a question about her and Reynolds’ private life that she found intrusive.
Following these allegations, Baldoni’s agency severed ties with him. In the wake of Lively’s claims, Baldoni’s attorney vehemently refuted the allegations, calling them categorically false and suggesting that they stem from Lively’s own desire to repair her public image after negative press generated during the film’s promotional activities.
In a statement, Lively expressed hope that her legal actions would raise awareness about misconduct and support those who may face similar issues. Baldoni’s legal team, however, denounced the accusations as unfounded, asserting that they were intended to damage his reputation and reignite unfounded narratives in the media.
This unfolding situation highlights serious and concerning allegations within the film industry, prompting discussions around workplace conduct and the treatment of actors on set.
