Justin Theroux Admires Olivia Rodrigo After Her Fun Show

Justin Theroux has expressed his admiration for Olivia Rodrigo after attending her concert. The 53-year-old actor revealed in an exclusive chat that he was thoroughly impressed by Rodrigo’s performance during her Guts tour stop in Philadelphia this past July. “I went to see her this summer, and it was incredibly fun,” Theroux said, noting that Rodrigo’s talent blew him away. He was joined at the concert by his fiancée Nicole Brydon Bloom, her sister Ava, and their friend Robert Downey Jr., who brought his daughter Avri along for the memorable evening.

In a selfie shared from the concert, Theroux humorously captioned it, “Back in the city of brotherly shoves,” showcasing the camaraderie among friends. After the show, Theroux revealed that he had the opportunity to meet Rodrigo backstage. “It was an authentic fun experience, and Olivia was gracious enough to meet Downey’s daughter, who was starstruck and speechless,” he said.

But it seems Rodrigo isn’t the only artist throwing some excitement into Theroux’s life. The Beetlejuice star mentioned that he’s also been digging British singer Towa Bird, hinting that he plans to catch one of her shows in Brooklyn. On the podcast front, Theroux is a fan of “Hidden Brain” and has been hooked on “Pivot” hosted by tech experts Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway. “They delve into topics I’m not familiar with, like technology and the stock market, but I find their insights incredibly engaging,” he explained about his podcast preferences. Theroux also enjoys listening to “SmartLess,” hosted by his friends Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, despite occasionally being the target of their playful jabs.

In a recent discussion about his dog, Theroux reflected on the unique bond he shares with his pet, expressing a belief that such relationships should thrive on codependence. “It’s the only relationship where I promote that kind of dependency,” he shared.

When it comes to television, Theroux is captivated by the HBO documentary Chimp Crazy, which chronicles the life of Tonia Haddix and her dedication to caring for primates. As a passionate animal advocate, he found the documentary’s content shocking. “It’s outrageous that people are still allowed to keep chimps,” he remarked after viewing the series.
