Kelsey Grammer Rakes in Nearly $2 Million Per Episode on Frasier Reboot

Kelsey Grammer is on a roll as his much-anticipated Frasier reboot gears up for a probable third season, with insiders suggesting the show’s lifespan could stretch another decade, whether or not his former co-stars join the revival. A source revealed to Closer that Kelsey has intentionally shifted away from the original Frasier cast and the familiar faces from Cheers, choosing to work alongside a fresh ensemble that comes at a fraction of the cost compared to big-name stars like Ted Danson or David Hyde Pierce.

The source notes, “This version of Frasier is designed for a tight budget, yet it has allowed Kelsey to pocket around $2 million per episode. Although that figure may seem high, there’s no dissent among the working crew. Kelsey, now 69, is known for his dedication and commitment, always showing up eager to entertain.”

Describing Grammer’s presence on set, the insider added, “He excels at this character, having portrayed him since the ’80s, and his charisma makes for a delightful workplace atmosphere. The new cast members are thrilled to be part of this production, seeing it as an extraordinary opportunity.”

As plans for a third season solidify, fans are eager to witness whether Kelsey and his team can transform the show into a streaming powerhouse. “They’re compensating Kelsey handsomely, but he continues to deliver, driving the show towards success,” the insider remarked.

The Frasier revival debuted on Paramount+ in October 2023, followed by season 2 in September 2024. Discussions with showrunners earlier this fall hinted at potential storylines for the next season, including the possibility of revisiting Boston, the original backdrop of Cheers.

Showrunner Chris Harris shared, “We haven’t fully explored the fact that Frasier is back in Boston, where all the Cheers magic happened. It opens up many opportunities for new characters to emerge.”

Kelsey himself offered insights into the future of the series, suggesting various local settings that could enhance the storylines, all while ensuring the creative integrity remains intact.

As this evolving saga continues, Kelsey Grammer’s Frasier remains a hot topic, intriguing fans and critics alike.
