Khloe Kardashian Explains Why She’s Missing Christmas Eve Party

Khloe Kardashian Declares She’s Skipping Family’s Celebrated Christmas Eve Gathering

In a surprising turn of events, Khloe Kardashian announced that she will not be attending her family’s renowned Christmas Eve party this year—marking a notable absence after many years of participation. The news, shared by RadarOnline.com, came from Khloe herself, who took to Instagram to explain her decision.

The reality star, now 40, shares two young children—True, age 6, and Tatum, age 2—with her ex-partner Tristan Thompson. On December 24, Khloe shared via Instagram Stories that she would be missing the festive celebration due to her kids falling ill. “Tatum was sick the entire weekend and now my TuTu is sick,” she revealed, expressing her disappointment as this will be the first time in a long while that they miss the anticipated holiday event. She added, “I feel so terrible for my sick littles. No fun but I pray we are fine for Santa tomorrow!”

Khloe’s commitment to family and motherhood remains a priority in her life. Despite the tradition at risk this year, she remains focused on her children’s well-being.

Meanwhile, elder sister Kim Kardashian shared that the family plans to tone down their traditional Christmas Eve bash this time around. Kim indicated they would have a much more intimate gathering, stating, “Just because we have a lot of construction going on, we’re doing a really family intimate one that I’m really excited about.” She did assure fans that they would still “dress up to the nines, because that’s what we do.”

The Kardashians have long been known for their lavish holiday celebrations, with previous parties labeled as “legendary.” For example, it was reported that the family spent approximately $1.3 million on their 2018 event, while notable performances, such as one by singer Sia in 2022, added to the glamour.

Kris Jenner, the family matriarch, has been the cornerstone of the celebrations since 1978, hosting the event at various locations, including her Calabasas home and her daughter Kourtney’s residence. As for Khloe, this year’s decision underscores the depth of her devotion to her children as they navigate illness during a time typically filled with joy and celebration.
