In a deeply personal revelation, Jamie Foxx shared the details of his health struggles during his latest Netflix comedy special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was.” The special premiered on December 10, 2024, shedding light on the mystery surrounding his hospitalization that began with a severe headache back in April 2023.

 

The 56-year-old actor and comedian disclosed that he suffered a brain bleed which led to a stroke, an ordeal that caught fans off guard since he had remained mostly silent about his health challenges. The footage for the special was recorded in October, almost two years after Foxx faced a serious medical complication while on the set of “Back in Action” in Atlanta. His daughter Corinne Foxx previously informed the public that her father was recovering due to prompt medical attention and exceptional care.
