Prince William: Kids Always Fight Over TV Like We Did

Prince William Shares That His Children Constantly Argue Over What to Watch on TV

Even in a royal household, the age-old sibling rivalry over television choices remains. During an event at BAFTA headquarters focusing on nurturing young talent in the arts, Prince William revealed that his three children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—often find themselves in disputes over the TV remote.

William, 42, engaged in a conversation with a student from the National Film and TV School and mentioned George’s penchant for gaming, while Charlotte and Louis enjoy movies and are captivated by the film industry. He noted that despite Princess Kate Middleton’s best efforts to monitor their screen time, the array of viewing options inevitably leads to typical sibling conflicts.

Aiming to support upcoming talents, William was at the BAFTA event to discuss the Prince William BAFTA Bursary Fund, which offers financial aid of up to £2,000 to young people from underrepresented communities pursuing careers in film, television, or gaming.

Film director Paul Greengrass, among other notable attendees, commended the prince for his dedication to enhancing pathways into creative fields for youngsters, emphasizing the significance of such initiatives in the entertainment industry.

William also shared his enthusiasm for Greengrass’s renowned film series, asking when fans might expect another installment. This insight into his family life isn’t a one-off. Previously, the couple shared a glimpse of their children enjoying a cozy family moment as they cheered for England during a soccer match against Spain, with their joint Instagram account documenting the occasion.

The royal family continues to embody a relatable dynamic, navigating the everyday challenges many families face—like debating what to watch on TV—while simultaneously engaging in significant cultural and philanthropic efforts.
