Donald Trump’s former aide has shed light on a range of the ex-president’s grooming secrets, revealing how far Trump goes to maintain his public image.
Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as the White House director of communications under Trump, has provided a detailed account of the ex-president’s vanity practices. According to Scaramucci, Trump employs various cosmetic and fashion strategies to enhance his appearance, including wearing a girdle, using high-heeled shoes with lifts, applying “orange war paint,” and sporting a hair weave.
During an interview with ABC News Australia, Scaramucci was candid about Trump’s obsession with his appearance. He explained that Trump avoids side-profile photos due to concerns about his weight and prefers to be photographed from the front. “He’s a television entertainer,” Scaramucci said. “He spends a lot of time on his hair, which involves a sort of weave. He also uses a particular orange makeup and wears two-inch heel lifts in his shoes, despite being a reasonably tall person.”
Scaramucci, who was dismissed from his role after just 11 days, also described Trump’s elaborate grooming habits as indicative of deeper personal insecurities. He suggested that Trump’s aggressive and hyper-masculine demeanor is a facade to mask his self-doubt and criticized the political leaders who failed to confront him. “What I don’t understand,” Scaramucci remarked, “and what I think people will write about 50 years from now, is why so many political figures were unwilling to stand up to him. Were they more concerned with staying in power than serving the public? Perhaps that’s what it came down to.”
In the same interview, Scaramucci raised alarm about the potential risks if Trump were to return to the presidency. He warned that Trump’s policies could destabilize the international order, including dismantling NATO and rolling back post-World War II agreements, which could embolden figures like Vladimir Putin and have severe consequences for Eastern Europe. “Trump wants to disrupt the current global order,” Scaramucci stated. “He aims to dismantle NATO and allow Putin to project his power further into Eastern Europe, which would be disastrous for the region.”
Scaramucci also criticized Trump’s stance on immigration and trade. He claimed that Trump’s proposals, such as imposing exorbitant tariffs and deporting millions of immigrants, would harm the U.S. economy and global relations. “He wants to isolate America from the rest of the world,” Scaramucci said. “His promise to build a border wall funded by Mexico never came to fruition, and now he’s pushing for even more extreme measures, like mass deportations and increased tariffs. These policies would ultimately lead to higher costs for American consumers and further strain international relations.”
Overall, Scaramucci’s revelations paint a picture of a former president deeply concerned with his public image, willing to go to great lengths to maintain it, and whose policies could have far-reaching negative effects if he were to regain power.
