Will CBS’ ‘FBI’ Shows Have a Crossover Episode? Insights from Two Showrunners.

Are the ‘FBI’ Shows on CBS Up for a Crossover Episode? Showrunners Share Insights

The buzz is building around the possibility of an ‘FBI,’ ‘FBI: International,’ and ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ crossover this season. Two showrunners are weighing in on this exciting prospect.

David Hudgins, the showrunner for ‘FBI: Most Wanted,’ told TV Insider that discussions about a crossover take place annually. However, he acknowledged the complexity of coordinating three different shows, each with its own cast and crew. “It’s a challenge to produce because you’ve got to wrangle three shows, three casts, three crews, but they work all day. We are looking at doing that, but it won’t be until the spring,” he revealed.

Mike Weiss, who leads the ‘FBI’ series, added to the conversation. “I see them down the hall, and they’re always asking who’s available. And I’m like, ‘You’ve got their phone numbers.’ The great aspect of having ‘International’ is that we provide actors with the chance to step into scenes set in exciting locations like Portugal or Rome, which is always a thrilling opportunity for them. While we haven’t pinpointed exactly how much crossover will happen, we definitely enjoy the process. The collaboration within the Wolf family is fantastic, and it’s rewarding to create moments where characters share a universe larger than their individual shows.”

Stay tuned to see if the excitement of a crossover will come to fruition this spring.
