Milwaukee Bucks forward Andre Jackson Jr. was involved in a car accident on October 26, but thankfully emerged without any injuries. The 22-year-old player crashed his vehicle into an apartment building in the Yankee Hill area early Saturday morning, prompting a swift response from local fire services.
According to a statement from Barry Baum, the Bucks’ chief communications officer, “Andre was involved in a single-vehicle accident after this morning’s team workout. Andre was alone in his car. Fortunately, no one was injured, and he didn’t require medical attention. Andre will be joining the team in New York for tomorrow’s game.”
While the incident caused some property damage, there were no reported injuries to anyone at the scene. Jackson has chosen not to publicly comment on the incident.
Jackson, who was drafted by the Bucks in June 2023, has been adjusting to the rigors of a professional NBA season, which he describes as significantly more demanding than his previous experiences in high school and college. In a press conference last December, he reflected on the challenges of the 82-game schedule, saying, “I’m definitely going through this thing for the first time… It’s going to take some adjusting and learning to strengthen my core and other parts of my body.”
The young athlete emphasized his commitment to improvement, stating that he takes each day as an opportunity to demonstrate his readiness and dedication to the team. “Even today in practice, that’s an opportunity for me to show the coaches that I’m locked in and trying to be a part of this team,” he declared. Jackson remains focused on his goal to become a better player and competitor in the league.
