Candace Cameron Bure recently opened up about her idea of the perfect date night with her husband, Valeri Bure, in an exclusive discussion with a prominent entertainment outlet. The actress, known for her role in Full House, shared that their idea of an ideal evening is pleasantly simple, revealing her preferences during a playful segment called the Not-So-Newlywed Game alongside Val.
Cameron Bure, now 48, playfully noted that her children might not appreciate her candidness when she described their dream date night as comprising a fine restaurant, a glass of wine, a romantic walk, and, naturally, some intimate moments. Val, 50, humorously chimed in, joking about the secrets parents keep from their kids.
The couple, who has celebrated a marriage spanning several decades, were introduced by none other than her Full House co-star Dave Coulier. During their nostalgic conversation, they reminisced about their first date, which included lunch in Santa Monica with Lori Loughlin and Val’s brother. Val reflected on the early days of their relationship, revealing that he was the first to express his love.
“I always wanted things to move quickly; I was eager to start a family,” he shared. They connected over the phone for a few months before meeting again, and he felt compelled to express his feelings. Candace, however, humorously recalled her understated response to his declaration of love as simply “Nice.”
Looking back on their wedding, the couple recounted their choice of first dance song, which was quite surprising—the theme from the classic James Bond film From Russia With Love. Candace elaborated that while they didn’t have a choreographed dance together, she did share a special dance with her father, who added a delightful twist by revealing an inscription in Russian inside his tuxedo jacket.
As the couple continues to nurture their bond, they are also stepping into a new chapter of family life, with their eldest son, Lev, recently tying the knot. Candace is already excited about the prospect of becoming a grandmother.
In addition to their personal reflections, the couple is also promoting the Christmas Festival by Great American Family, which features an array of holiday-themed activities and events running until the end of December. The festival promises an immersive experience filled with screenings, crafts, and even celebrity appearances.
